Key Responsibilities:
Review RFQs, drawings and CAD models to determine manufacturing requirements
Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, tooling and machine time
Develop CNC machining methods, tooling and fixture concepts
Calculate cycle times for turning and milling operations
Support bid and quotation preparation for new business opportunities
Liaise with Engineering, Procurement and Sales teams throughout the quotation process
Resolve technical and cost-related issues on new and existing enquiries

Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in estimating, CNC machining or manufacturing engineering
Strong knowledge of CNC turning and milling processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data
Experience using CAD/CAM software
Good understanding of tooling, materials, workholding and manufacturing methods
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience within precision engineering, aerospace, defence or similar sectors desirable
Knowledge of robotics and automation beneficial but not essential

You’ll play a key part in meeting production targets, maintaining equipment through daily checks,
and contributing to continuous improvement.
