History

With a history of hard work and innovation, BCW has grown from humble beginnings to a leading Tier 1 supplier of manufactured and engineered solutions.   

2002

BCW Engineering Services is founded with three employees, operating one machine in a 2800 sq. ft unit. Production of automotive components for Alcoa and Jaguar Land Rover commences.

2003

BCW Engineering Ltd is formed and three additional machines and one CMM are purchased. The manufacture of aerospace products begins.

2004

The company expands to a second and third unit, giving a total floor space of 7700 sq. ft, and a toolroom is purchased.

2005

Production for companies such as Borg Warner, Cummins, and Helical commences.

2006

Further expansion happens with the purchase of a fourth, fifth, and sixth unit, increasing floor space by 5600 sq. ft. ISO9001 certification for quality management is awarded.

2007

BCW Engineering Ltd premises are doubled with the addition of a 13,000 sq. ft Tech Centre, opened by HRH Prince Charles.

2008

BCW Vtech is created, production for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries commences, and the company becomes a tier 1 supplier for Jaguar Land Rover

2010

Long-term involvement with automotive customers extended as the workforce grows to over 100 people.

2011

The company moves into an additional unit at Aircelle B7, bringing the total floor space to 39,300 sq. ft. AS9100 certification awarded for quality management in the aerospace industry.

2012

BCW moves to new premises at 2 Innovation Drive with assistance from the Michelin Grant. ISO14001 accreditation is awarded for environmental management.

2014

Moved to the current facility at 3A Innovation Drive with ambitious plans and a clear growth strategy to provide further supply chain solutions for customers across multiple sectors.

2015

The surface treatment facility is commissioned, including a state-of-the-art, fully-automated anodising line which is now the most advanced and cost-effective facility for the anodising of automotive parts in the UK.

2017

The BCW Manufacturing Group is established and additional expansion to 3D and 3E Innovation Drive commences.

2018

Significant Jaguar Land Rover projects are won thanks to this expansion and innovation, utilising automated robotic cells and 3D printed materials. 

2019

A new conversion coating automated plant, passivation line, and paint booth is opened to enhance the level of commitment and service for customers, and a further 30,000 sq. ft expansion was completed. 

2020

BCW acquired API Design & Build increasing their service offering to now include tool design and build services & long bed machining services and a further 58,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space. 

2022

BCW purchased the former Lotus Anodising Plant in Wellingborough, gaining 56,000 sq ft of factory & office space. This provides a key strategic presence within the Midlands & an opportunity to anodise the new Emira Chassis for Lotus. 

2024

We rebranded to unite our companies under BCW Group, conveying our vision, mission, and values to internal and external stakeholders. BCW represents our journey and commitment to innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
