Investing in the Future: Welcoming New Apprentices

At BCW Group, we understand the importance of investing in the future, and we take pride in nurturing the engineers of tomorrow. Just last week, we embarked on an exciting journey as we welcomed 9 enthusiastic apprentices into our ranks. These apprentices are set to begin their professional development with us, and we are committed to guiding them every step of the way.

Our commitment to fostering new talent goes hand in hand with our collaboration with local colleges. We have partnered with Burnley College and Nelson and Colne College to secure these apprenticeships, ensuring that we not only provide valuable opportunities for young talent but also strengthen our ties with the local community.

Our nine new apprentices will be embarking on diverse career paths within our organization, each contributing to our multifaceted expertise. These positions include:

BCW Engineering Ltd:

• 1 Maintenance Mechanical Engineer - will embarking on a journey to become an expert in mechanical systems and equipment maintenance. They will work closely with experienced engineers to learn how to inspect, repair, and maintain various mechanical components and machinery within the organization.
• 1 Maintenance Electrical Engineer - the role is dedicated to mastering the intricacies of electrical systems and equipment maintenance.

BCW Design & Manufacture:

• 2 CNC Machinists: These apprentices will delve into the world of Computer Numerical Control machining, mastering precision engineering techniques.
• 2 Mechanical Fitters: Our mechanical fitters-in-training will learn the intricacies of assembling and maintaining mechanical components, honing their skills in this critical field.
• 2 Welders: Welding is a fundamental skill in manufacturing, and our welding apprentices will gain hands-on experience in this essential craft.
• 1 Quality Specialist: Quality assurance is at the heart of our operations, and our quality specialist apprentice will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to excellence.

As these apprentices embark on their journey with BCW, they become part of our professional workforce. We are excited to watch them grow and develop, gaining invaluable experience and skills along the way.
