BCW Design & Manufacture are looking for an experienced Welder with proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and the ability to work with steel and aluminium. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expert provider of highly technical and customised component and assembly solutions. Role Overview The Project/Production Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks as per project requirements, adhering to international standards and certifications. This role involves working on various welding projects, ensuring structural integrity and precision in all welding tasks, The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in welding, preferably in a project or production environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using appropriate welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) on steel and aluminium structures according to project specifications.
  • Standards Compliance: Working within EN 1090-1 business framework, EN ISO 9606-1, and EN ISO 9606-2 standards in all welding activities were applicable.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and verify the quality of welds, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including welding logs, inspection reports, and quality control documents.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve any welding-related issues that may arise during the project.
  • Certification: Valid certification EN ISO 9606-1, and EN ISO 9606-2.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and the ability to work with steel and aluminium.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail in welding tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and report on progress.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong awareness and adherence to safety standards and protocols.

Role Environment

  • The role involves working in a manufacturing or construction environment where safety and precision are paramount.
  • May require working in various conditions, including heights.

This is a permanent position based at our site in Burney

This role is a 39 hour, 4 day working week

Monday - Thursday 6.30am to 4.45pm
