An exciting opportunity to join BCW Engineering This is an exciting opportunity to join an expert provider, with a proven track record delivering advanced engineering solutions to large blue-chip clients in markets sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Mining, Power Generation and Off-Road Vehicles. We are looking for a Programmes Coordinator The ideal candidate will have experience of coordinating programmes in a similar manufacturing environment, along with excellent coaching and mentoring skills.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

Manage and co-ordinate programmes through their scoping phase (RFQ) working closely with the Project CAD Engineer(s) to analyse and interpret customer expectations. Communicating expectations with the relevant stakeholders and ensuring time frames are met. Supporting team members with their inputs into the feasibility of programmes and providing feedback to sales in a clear and concise format. Managing the process to meet agreed KPI’s. Supporting the Programme Manager in the general management of programmes within the business. Supporting the creation and roll-out of a new BMS process for RFQ, Feasibility and Contract Review.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate Programmes through RFQ stage and into live programmes
  • Co-ordinate APQP across all projects to drive a quality driven culture
  • Overcome roadblocks and manage risk assigning accountability and tracking through to closure
  • Communicate progress & milestones to relevant stakeholders
  • Arrange & chair regular meetings as necessary
  • Produce and manage documentation to ensure consistency across all programmes
  • Create and govern the programmes processes to the agreed standard
  • Support the Programme Manager in driving accountability for impacts to progress
  • Ensure effective communication across pro teams and stakeholders
  • Conducting ‘Lesson Learnt’ project reviews
  • Ensure the RFQ process is followed and governed accordingly
  • Manage, coach and support the programmes team in their endeavors.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

  • Recognised Project Management Qualification (desirable)
  • Management qualification (desirable)
  • 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent IT skills with a in depth knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project
  • Experience of working on engineering projects on schedule and within budget
  • Experience of working within a similar role
  • Awareness of APQP Advanced Product Quality Planning is advantageous
  • Experience of managing changing priorities and working efficiently

The role is based a our head office in Burnley, Lancashire

Working 39 hours per week

7.45am - 5pm Monday to Thursday & 7.45am - 1pm on Fridays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary, depending on experience, £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
